This is what I wore when I went to babysit with Nathan.

I went to target tonight with my sister we zoomed in after dinner when I mentioned I saw the Rodarte for Target line while buying my Mom's presents. We were intrested to see what they had since we saw Tavi from Style Rookie in Teen Vouge posing for. We will be giving a full review on it in DCASD but if it tells you anything I ended up wandering around and found some grey (or is it gray?) jeans. Which I have not shown my mother yet because Gracie and I both know she wont approve of but I thought they were cool. Which one matters? I mean they will be on my butt not hers.

Cocktail Party, Rodarte for Target, Alivin and the chimpmunks with Nathan and a One tree hill Marathcon...sounds like my kinda break.

I will make this quick because in a little while i will be caroling just so I can go to target to get something...I saw a tuellle skirt and I have been dying for a tuelle skirt. Very ballet like and romantic like. OOOOOERRR I AM SO EXCITED!

I have my mocktail party tomorrow so I will post my outfit for that...I am practically in love with Target I get everything there within my saved allowence money. Saturday, Ali and I worked on testing the drinks this included if us spillng rasberry juice on MAc, debating about cheese and what would be appropriate for the boys to wear. We have three Mocktail drinks since we are still underage. The good ole shirley temple, Lusty Lime Virgin Mocktail, and Raspberry fizzler. Lusty Lime Virgin was our overall favorite, but we'll see how the others think. More details about that tomorrow!!!

Nate and I also exchange our gifts tomorrow... he being a smart boyfriend knew if he told anyone but his mother what he got me I'd hunt them down and use torture methods till i found out.

Also in my plans for break is seeing Alvin and the chimpmunks the squeakal with Nate Wednesday.

Forget New year's eve parties 10 hour marathon of One Tree hill on New Year's Day on the soap channel....=p I will not be leaving the house.

Other things you must know.. GRACIE AND I WILL BE POSTING IN THE BLOG OFFICIALLY TOMORROW!!!!!! She was to lazy today and frankly I was too and i looked crappy..I might even post before then but in this blog about my new outfits.

Also (I keep writing alos) CHRISTMAS Day I promise dear and chivalours readers that I will post all the clothes I got for christmas. I started the post but then I forgot some of it and I realized it might be easier just to take pictures.

Have you ever been in the middle of a deep and important conversation and all of a sudden the other person has to go and when they text/ call you back its like you know you need to talk about it but you feel like you should chit chat first, mention the weather etc. and it's really weird and maybe kinda awkward? yeah?...I'm having one of those moments.

Too Whom it may concern:
My sister, as you may know her blog as Smile Coture, very preppy, more fashion informational whereas mine is just a collaberation and collage of what goes through my head. As I was saying, my sister and i hade decided to start a joint blog strictly on fashion. We will be keeping our own blogs of course and will continue to write in them. We want to see how it goes. If good comes from it who knows we may end up focusing on that blog and if bad comes from this we can still fall back on our personal blogs.

We are still comming up with a title, the little details, but we hope to get it up and running this weekend however. We wanted to both inform you and hope when we do get it set up you check it out, leave your comments, and etc.

You may be thinking whats so great about you both writing a blog? Or you may be thinking about dinner.. you see Gracie is very preppy, she likes high end stuff, lots of labels, very nice great quality clothing. She is preppy but transforms preppy from polos and pleated minis to having an edge like a lacoste model winding up in brooklyn. Preppy meants rock.

On the otherhand, and Im not sure how concrete this hand is. im more boho meets preppy. Gracie and I aren't even sure what my style would qualify..maybe someone out there is reading this while eating Ben & Jerry's and slams down their spoon and is like ITS THIS!!! but i dont know what its this is... maybe its urban? or boho meets prep? I dont know.

2009's Fashion Icons

In some time along I was studying, I realized my blog didnot quite fulfill the needs I previously had intended. This blog was to be about ideas, my love of clothes, and poetic and wise words. But somewhere along the way it got mixed in battered into my daily life. You learned about my friends, my fights, my victories, you learned about the boy I love, and you saw the way I dressed as a normal teen girl. So I plan to revamp, a little and bring Musee de Meredith back to where I originally planned.

So now that said. Here is my top 5 fashion inspirations.

1. Michelle Obama

Okay in the left picture I really love the Obama girls' leggings. I know leggings arent a big of a trend but the way the girls paired them in bright complementrary colors. I <3. I also love Michelle's simple and elegant white dress, pictured right. That is the emerald green I am talking about!!! Always classic!

2. Anne Hathaway

Anne Hathaway will always be known for her class. Naturally beautiful, she embraces it. Independent, after her husband's drama tabloid articles splashing her private life all over the front page, Anne still held her head up high. I admire her fashion of being able to throw on a cardigan, flats and a simple dress and still look ultra chic and be a strong, down to earth woman.

3. Emma Watson

British fashion icon and actress Emma Watson is known for her ever changing style. That you can wear out of the house. Simple cardigans, preppy blazers and my favorite picture of her in a spread in Teen Vouge.

4. Serena Van Der Woodsen

Her casual style. I-Just-Rolled- Out- Of- Bed-And- My-Hair- Looks- Amazing look. The uniform that any catholic school girl would envy. <3

5. Emma Roberts

Emma Roberts, her movie Wild Child is one of my favorites. She uses the basics. Plaid shirt, pea coat(maybe?) skinny jeans, white tank tops, caridgans. She shows how you can take simple non-expensive stuff and still look polished, and casual.

From this, you may have gotten a sense of my personal style. Basic, casual, elegant -when needed-, polished, but yet strays away from the sea of abercrombies' and hollister decked out girls that roam the halls at every other high school. Fashion doesnt need to be wild like Lady Gaga but you don't need to look like you've stepped out of a nunery. Style is not about running out and ringing up your credit card or spending that hard earned money you got babysitting those spawn of devil children next door. Its about taking pieces that will last and make a statement.

Then we sat in 33 degree weather and laughed at nothing

I finally got my winterformal dress. Our winterformal isnt till after break but I was so excited to show off my dress. Its very different from my homecoming dress which was bright and was a bit longer and was poofy. I wanted something classy-er and simple but strikingly elegant. I was worried the rhinestones would make it look like stripper like vegas fake. I contacted my sister (Smile coture) and sent her a picture of the dress and she didn't give me any positive feedback. But I tried it on and I was like HAZZUEAH!!! I HAVE FOUND YOU! plus I got the last one in Navy so no one will have this color unless more were being ordered that afternoon. But I'm not one of those girls who freaks out if someone else is wearing the same dress.
The best colors for winter formal dresses I think are
Elmerald Green
Plum or any sort of dark purple
Scarlet
Navy
Simple, this time no prints elegant no cotton when I think winter formal I think step it up a notch, silks, chiffon, satin, lace, velvet.

Winterformal is a few weeks from now. I still have to give Nathan his birthday present (his birthday is Tuesday) and christmas present (he is dropping no hints what so ever).

I hope everyone is having a good week and is excited for the holidays! Again I am sorry about not being on so long. But after finals Musee de Meredith will be up and running like it's usual self.
